  1. Ruth LeBlanc welcomed the group and introduced Celeste McLaughlin, Workers’ Compensation, ADA, and Leave Specialist to the committee.
  2. Review of minutes from previous month were approved as written.
  3. Accident & Near Miss Review (Workers’ Compensation)
    1. One claim from prior month which was a repetitive injury. One employee out on workers compensation leave.
  4. Standing reports:
    1. Sonoma State Police Department
      1. Sergeant Karl Mortenson reported police activity for February resulting in one arrest. Crimes ranged from reports of noise disturbances, violation of probation to vandalism and dangerous fireworks possession.  
    2. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
      1. EHS discussed the current programs completed or in-progress:
        1. Aerial Lift Program
        2. Hot Wash Programs
        3. Chemical Procurement Program
      2. EHS reported that the MSDS online program will be available campus wide and in labs via a QR code and signage. This will be implemented in labs in the coming months.
      3. Chris Angle reported the status on the hazardous material minimization efforts, including the satisfactory inspection that resulted in zero violations when inspection of the Corp Yard occurred. Angle also spoke regarding planning efforts around minimization of hazardous waste across campus as well as waste reduction efforts. Resources are available on the EHS website.
    3. Facilities Management
      1. Dana Twedell reported that Facilities was continuing to support all repopulation efforts including sanitation, maintenance and building considerations.
    4. Student Affairs
      1. Ben Ellis reported on the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) program. AOD incidents were historically low last year due to the pandemic. Outreach efforts continue to reach a wide range of students. Education and zoom programming will be available for students for the rest of the semester and next semester.
      2. Michael Eynon reported that Disability Services for Students is deep in planning for disability awareness month for April. Information will be shared with the group about upcoming workshops and trainings that are available to the campus community.
    5. CSUEU
      1. Gina Voight reported one issues of potholes in the Corp Yard that had been brought to her attention. Dana Twedell reported that they were aware and deploying patch kits and repairs as needed with a request to Cabinet for a full repair of the Corp Yard under review.
    6. Emergency Services
      1. Missy Brunetta shared with the group that California is slated to be in drought status this year. There is no significant rain anticipate between now and April, when it is most expected.
      2. Brunetta also reported repopulation planning has begin for Fall 2021 semester with the expectation that between 50-60 percent would be on ground overall. Academic and student services would be brought on campus in line with population. Brunetta shared that the repopulation plan would be available for labor partners soon for discussion.
      3. Vaccinations and current status of SSU employees were also discussed. All SSU employees are hoped to be eligible soon through the statewide program. As things continue to change regarding vaccines, Emergency Services will continue to update employees on opportunities for vaccinations
  5. New Business / Roundtable Discussion
    1. No new business was presented.
