Campus Safety Committee Meeting Minutes
Attendance: Julie Barnes (Science & Technology), Ryan Jasen Henne (Student Affairs), Tiffany Perry (Worker’s Compensation/ADA), Jordan Lundberg (Teamsters/6), Missy Brunetta (Risk Management), Jason Csontos (EH&S), Jason Hight (University Police), Dana Twedell (Facilities Management), Lauren Antoni (Culinary Services)
- Meeting was called to order at 9:02 a.m.
- Minutes approved, Julie Barnes first, Dana Twedell second.
- T. Perry provided a summary of the month’s worker’s comp claims: 8 total reports, 5 report only, 3 claims; pinched finger, wasp sting, trip/fall broken, strain (2), 2 repetitive injuries and 1 dislocated shoulder (not work related, but reported just in case)
- There were no reportable new injury or loss claims. There were two incidents involving non-employees; one was compound fracture from pick up basketball game, individuals did not have reservation to use the space; second was a fire alarm and small flood from activation of the eye wash station in a classroom in Salazar Hall, attributed to a conference group, unknown activity led to smoke filling the room; EHS will be following up on CES science related activities.

- Police - no report
- Facilities: IT issue from last month was resolved as a water issue in the urinal that has since been fixed, police were also advised about the individual in the area; Lot E sidewalk issue does need consultation with local fire marshal; Solar update: Lot E completes 8/9, Lot F completes in sections east to west completing 8/21, 9/19, and 10/4; Electrical feeder 1 and 2 repairs ongoing, currently operating on feeder 2; all will come online with winter shutdown; Cypress and F lot pothole repairs 8/11; Art roof is completed tomorrow 8/4; campuswide pedestrian pathway improvements phase 1 complete, need new contractor for phase 2;

- Emergency Services - Not present, no report
- Student Affairs: Move in is Tuesday 8/15, 2100 students moving on campus; REACH interested in volunteers to support move in process at the GMC; all villages will be used but limited housing in Zinfandel; Cabernet will continue to house employees (98% full); orientation will be 8/16 and 8/17;

- No updates from Teamsters Union.
