  5. Emergency Services
    1. Repopulation- The campus will have 4800 students on ground, currently 500 residents on campus and will increase to 1940 students the weekend of AUG 15th when then move in.
    2. COVID 19- Overall, the County is doing worse with D variant numbers rising, although this strand doesn’t seem as deadly. The D variant can be passed by asymptomatic carriers that have been vaccinated. The vaccination policy currently mandates vaccination by September 30th, at which point an exemption must be in place to allow unvaccinated personnel to function on campus. Missy pointed out that our COVID policies are County policies, not unique to the CSU system nor our campus. They are working to get monitoring in place for those that aren’t vaccinated, to include rapid tests for those that are symptomatic. She mentioned that employees will be encouraged to eat outside rather than at their cubicles, and pointed out that there is a statistical basis for the concerns of spreading COVID while eating.  Lauren asked if culinary was supposed to provide indoor seating options, to which Missy responded yes. People will not be compelled to eat outside, merely encouraged. Directional guidelines inside of buildings will be removed. They are hoping that the COVID policies will be firmed up by the end of August.
    3. Other business- PSPS’s are being monitored actively by EMS, with concern for employees impacted at home. She reminded employees that there are still touchdown stations available. Emergency plans are being updated and are available to employees. Missy warned that the fire season conditions were drier than previous years. Building evacuation drills and emergency notification tests will be occurring at the end of August. There is a Safety Fair scheduled for September 9th, more info to follow.
  6. New Business from members / Roundtable Discussion- No new business was introduced.
