  1. Meeting was called to order at 9:02 a.m. 

  2. Minutes from prior meeting approved as written.

  3. Incident Review 

    1. Tiffany Perry shared one incident for January (report only). 

    2. Missy Brunetta shared no claims or injuries reported to Risk Management. 

  4. Safety in focus 

    1. Tiffany Perry presented on the 2022 Workers Compensation program overview and statistics review.   5. Standing Reports

    1. No representative present. Brunetta directed committee members to the the Sonoma State University Police Department Crime Log

    2. Brunetta reported updates on the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs. 

      1. EHS is supporting the Chancellor’s Office in a wider support of on-campus construction projects. 

      2. Updates are planned to the Cart Safety program. 

      3. Annual safety message reminder planned for this semester to all employees. 

    3. Dana Twedell reviewed current safety-related projects. 

      1. Tree removal of eucalyptus trees on the west side of campus is near completion. 

      2. Facilities is looking into the Verdot pathway projects, in coordination with Transportation and Parking Services. 

      3. Signage has been installed on the Parking Lot J fence to help alleviate traffic concerns. 

      4. Interior striping is being installed on the main staircase of Stevenson Hall.

      5. Facilities reviewed and assessed the Fairfield Osborn Preserve and are working with Center for Environmental Inquiry on a project to revitalize the space. 

    4. Brunetta provided an update on Emergency Services activities. 

      1. 2023 Emergency Operations Center staff appointments have been confirmed. 

      2. Evacuation drills have been completed for the beginning of the semester.

      3. Annual emergency notification test was conducted, including the desktop override notification for campus computers. 

      4. Emergency Services is supporting the campus with the identification of projects for grants associated with mitigation for future emergencies. 

    5. Michael Eynon from Disability Services for Students shared current updates on the start of the semester.

    6. No updates from CSUEU. 

    7. Kendall Newman shared no updates for the SafeSSU Committee.

    8. Kelley Green from Teamsters had no updates. 

    9. No APC rep present.

    10. No new business was presented.
