  1. Meeting was called to order at 9:03 a.m. 

  2. Review of minutes from the previous month were approved with changes at 9:04 a.m.

  3. Incident Review 

    1. Trisha Ramos reported only a few worker’s compensation claims submitted in the prior month. 

    2. Missy Brunetta reported nothing pending for Risk Management and Environmental Health and Safety related to incidents. 

  4. Standing Reports

    1. Karl Mortenson from the Sonoma State Police Department reported statistics from the Daily Crime Log which included a DUI arrest, bugarlies, and a mental health crisis. 

    2. Brunetta reported that Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) submitted many regulatory reports as required. Those submitted so far include the air quality management report, hazardous waste biennial report, and e-waste report (currently in program). Upcoming EHS is reviewing 5 programs to ensure all 20 programs receive annual compliance review review. EHS will be reaching subject matter experts to review upcoming programs.

    3. Dana Twedell shared that Facilities Management (FM) is awaiting further guidance on the microgrid project from the Fire Marshall. The card key access project is planned for a phased rollout in June and July. 

      1. Brunetta shared kudos to Kat Marian and the Capital Planning Design and Construction team for the awarding of a contract for a new EOC, which was done through grant funding. Big thanks to Kat and her team!

    4. Michael Eynon from Disability Services for Students thanked Dennis Goss for his work finding a new classroom for a student who had an accommodation request, and a thanks to the FM movers team for furniture and chair deliveries for accommodations. 

    5. Ryan Jasen Henne from Student Affairs shared that many students have return to campus. CARE Team continues to support students through the semester. 

    6. Kendall Newman had no updates on SafeSSU. 

    7. Dennis Goss from CSUEU inquired about mask mandates possibly changing soon. Brunetta provided information that the cabinet is reviewing all information. 

    8. Jordan Lundberg, Teamsters Safety Steward, notified the group there is a new Landscaping Manager in FM and many recruitments are underweight. 

    9. Vanessa Bascherini from APC had no updates. Bascherini shared thanks to Erin Taylor for her work in addressing a safety concern within SIP that has since been resolved.

    10. Brunetta shared an update on COVID-19 within the campus and local community. The COVID Monitoring Team is working on a COVID safety plan for the suspension of low risk and medium risk processes that were enacted in order to have a phased approach rolling-back processes. 

    11. Brunetta announced updates for Emergency Services that included the notification of a June 2022 full-scale exercise. Brunetta will be working with some individuals on developing field response plans to be used in the event of an emergency. 

    12. Michael Hazen questioned the status of active shooter training. Brunetta agreed to discuss with SSUPD on how to proceed with training, including offering assessments for safety areas.
