Fall Protection

Accidents involving working from elevated surfaces, ladders, and roofs represent one of most serious workplace hazards.  Over 3,000 workers suffered serious injuries in accidents associated with ladder use and falls, accounting for 17% of all OSHA reportable serious inury reports in 2023 and 2022.  

The Fall Protection Plan provides guidance and requirements for employees who work at elevations of 6 feet or greater, work with automated lifts and mobile platforms, use ladders, or have to access campus roofs.  Compliance with the Fall Protection Plan is required for all employees and conforms with Cal/OSHA regulations and best safety practices.
